A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

  1. What is Sky Arcanum?
Sky Arcanum is an action platformer, with the player's goal being to rebuild his flying boat, which has crashed, just like him, on an archipelago of flying islands. But be careful, as this archipelago is populated by aggressive creatures, and the ship's lost parts have been stolen by powerful enemies. Will you be able to rebuild your ship, and return to the great gathering of wizards? Only the future will tell.
  2. How did Sky Arcanum come into being?
Sky Arcanum is the end-of-year project we submitted as part of our video game development studies at La Horde. The project lasted around 5 weeks, one of game design and 4 of development, with 7 students working on it.
  3. In what language Sky Arcanum is?
Despite being French, the game is in English.
  4. In which programming language Sky Arcanum is?
It was made on Unity in C#
  5. What are the controls?
When you've launched a game, and finished the introduction, you can press the "Escape" button to open the pause menu, from which you can access the controls. However, here's the list of available controls :

  6. Who made the game?

As I said earlier, there were 7 of us who created this game, but other people also took part in the project, so here's a list of the people who worked on it:

    Developers :

    - Alexandre RICHARD
    - Andy DUPOUY
    - Arthur BOUCHER
    - Clément GRIMARD
    - Eliott LE MEUR

I really enjoyed this, more of a tutorial would be great, plus access to inventory anywhere outside of using the workbench would be cool, but doesn't feel necessary unless I start to lose track of how many things I've collected.  Very nice graphics, look forward to future updates!

Thanks for playing our game :D

We decided when developing the game not to do a tutorial in the classic way, but rather to force the player to understand how the world he's in works. The first island allows the player to understand the main mechanics of the game.

As for crafting, we wanted the game to take players out of their comfort zone, so the player will lose all his resources if he dies, but he won't lose the potions in his hotbar, forcing him to use his resources at the risk of losing them.
